This facility is provided to allow the preview and rehearsal of media for any event, or block of events, within the onair schedule. Traditional media control operations are provided for tape or server based material. The ability to ‘pick up’ modified in and out timecode information via the preview facility is provided.
Preview of text bearing events can trigger the building of text pages on associated capgen or special effects devices.
If switching arrangements and mixer capabilities allow, blocks of sequential events can be rehearsed in parallel with the main transmission operation.
